I led you straight down a dead end path
Don't you mind
I haven't prayed in 4 months
Don't you mind, don't you mind
I walked away when I should have turned back
Don't you mind
I didn't tell you when my heart was black
Don't you mind, don't you mind
Your throat was raw
My eyes were dry
I'm running in the opposite direction than where my heart actually lies
My phone is on
I won't reply
Oh, you know I didn't mean to drag you down, but there you are
Don't you mind
I should have let you go
Don't you mind
I was too young to know
Don't you mind, don't you mind
I was jealous of the lines you cut
Don't you mind
I love you
Don't you mind, don't you mind
I should have let you go
Don't you mind
I was too young to know
Don't you mind, don't you mind
I was jealous of the lines you cut
Don't you mind
I love you
Don't you mind, don't you mind
This is my version of the song 'Me' by the 1975. It's an incredibly personal song to the lead singer, listing his darkest confessions. I felt, it being so personal, that to truly understand it I needed to put my own confessions in place of his. So this is actually very soul-bearing for me.
